The Palmetto Sites designation was designed to streamline the process of industrial site development by completing the appropiate due diligence prior to a site visit, but that's not all. Each site will receive a customized evaluation, including technical components, nearby industry clusters and available workforce efforts in order to attract the industry most likely to locate there.
Our goal with this program is to make these the most sought after sites in each community to make it more competitive - and easier- to do business in South Carolina.

Applications are accepted twice a year.
The program is broken in 2 phases::
1. Evaluation phase, including a site visit: 3 months.
2. Due diligence phase: 6-12 months
The designation is viable for on average 5 years.
